Benefits of the Biodiesel Fuel Alternative
The biodiesel fuel alternative to using straight diesel fuel has many advantages to both the direct user and the world around us. It can be used in any diesel engine on any vehicle without it being necessary to make changes to the vehicle in any form. It is biodegradable and non-toxic with a diminished emission level of normal diesel. There is no reason why Americans cannot turn towards this very beneficial fuel as an alternative to the pollution causing fuels now being used.
The biodiesel fuel alternative is appearing at what we have always refereed to as gas stations all over the country. Perhaps one day we will refer to these places we fill our cars as fueling stations as gas becomes a thing of the past.
Currently the biodiesel fuel alternative is more expensive than diesel fuel, but as use and production climb costs will diminish and make this a more affordable way to lessen the hold of those who have gas and sell it to the United States. It will give Americans more freedom.
The biodiesel fuel alternative has many positive aspects to it including what it does to the inside of the car. Although it is known to do damage to gaskets and hoses in vehicles made before 1992 it does have advantages to vehicles newer than that. It can add to the life of the fuel injector in your car because of its higher lubricity. It also acts as a solvent and can remove debris in the fuel lines from prior use of petrodiesel.
Many people, especially farmers, make a biodiesel fuel alternative at home using any number of natural ingredients including feedstock oils, waste vegetables oils or animal fats. They have done this for many years, getting rid of waste products by turning them into fuel that runs their vehicles. This cuts down on waste, cuts down on the cost of running their vehicles, and so improves their monetary situation while cutting down on the pollutants put into the air. Seems to be a good situation all around.
Though there is not enough vegetable oil made in Maraca to replace the fossil fuels we rely so strongly on with the right encouragement and proper management that could change.
